Ecosurety Policy Manager Louisa Goodfellow shortlisted for Rising Star award

The UK Packaging Awards are an esteemed event bringing together over 600 professionals from across the UK packaging industry for a prestigious awards evening, which is judged by respected packaging buyers and influencers from across the sector. 

Since joining Ecosurety in 2020, Louisa has become a trusted source of simplified and accessible regulatory advice for our members helping them to navigate the intricacies of UK laws. Her expertise and skilful approach to regulatory advice have helped some of the largest packaging producers in the UK to gain an in-depth understanding of the policies which underpin Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT), and the UK Deposit Return Schemes (DRS). 

Louisa has been involved with the Packaging Scheme Forum (PSF) and works with Policy Connect on their steering group for refillable and reusable packaging. She also plays a pivotal role in providing responses to government consultations, which have allowed companies to eloquently communicate their views. 

In the past 18 months, Louisa has delivered over 15 informative webinars to over 800 registrants, enabling them to stay abreast of changes to current and upcoming environmental regulations. By providing bespoke advice, Louisa has shown them how the business model and packaging they use will be impacted by EPR legislation. 

An 'asset to the world of packaging'
