The prestigious awards recognise the people, initiatives and products that are helping to deliver excellence within the green economy.
The nominees were carefully selected by an esteemed panel of industry expert judges, including representatives from WRAP, Forum to the Future, The Carbon Trust and Global Action Plan.
Shortlisted in the ‘Sustainability Product Innovation: Resources’ category is Circularety, the new online platform recently launched by Ecosurety in September. Circularety aims to increase transparency and reduce price volatility in the PRN market for thousands of obligated producers and reprocessors. This category considers the innovation, cultural change, planning, transparency and knowledge sharing aspects of the product.
Managing director, James Piper, has also been shortlisted in the ‘Sustainability Leader (Person)’ category. This award recognises board-level strategists who are leading from the front within their organisation and beyond, formulating sustainability strategies, initiating change and ensuring the highest level of engagement in order to succeed. This category considers leadership, vision, inspiration, engagement, commitment, delivery and ‘going above and beyond’.
“Our team is thrilled that Circularety has been shortlisted for a prestigious edie award so soon after launch, and to be recognised myself is very humbling.” comments James.
“The awards have very strong entries throughout and showcase the very best in sustainability - a fact that makes us very proud to be a finalist in two categories.”
edie.net has been the market leading information resource driving sustainability in business for nearly 20 years with daily news and commentary, high-level business conferences and industry events.
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards evening in London on the 25 January 2017.
