Additional batteries compliance services

Over and above our standard batteries compliance service, we offer support bundles to help you resolve issues that are specific to your organisation or the industry in which you operate.

Typically these are scoped when you join our membership scheme but in some cases they will be one-off projects, which we can help with too.

Our additional services include:

Free used battery collections as well as retail support and advice

Through our sister organisation, recyclenow.co.uk, we offer a collection pack for a nominal fee with liners and all future collections free of charge from there in. Order your collection pack now.

Combined Batteries and WEEE expertise

We are one of only a handful of environmental compliance schemes to offer multi-regulation capability. By handling these under one roof, we can operate more efficiently and pass on the cost-savings to you.

Categorisation support

Ensuring your batteries are placed in the right category is more important than you might at first think. Calculating your obligation ‘as accurately as reasonably possible’ is part of the compliance requirement but it is also means you’re not paying out unnecessarily through simple data error.

With our support we can help you with the technicalities of defining exactly what batteries you have and report accordingly.

Sales report analysis and database support

Maintaining an accurate batteries database can be a real drain on internal resources. If you can provide your sales reports, (i.e. what you have sold in a given period) we will conduct the necessary analysis and create a bespoke database of your batteries on your behalf.

Producing both internal and external methodologies

In the vast majority of cases, the batteries compliance process exists in the minds of whoever is handling it, which doesn’t offer the necessary transparency for the EA or provide continuity in the event of staff changes.

Working closely with all your key people, we will produce a detailed methodology, practical for new staff and for meeting EA requirements.

EA audit preparation, support and attendance

From time to time, you will be called on by the EA for an audit. As experts we are well placed to support you, advising and providing the necessary reports, liaising on your behalf and even attending on site meetings as required. Alternatively, we’ll just be there to answer your questions as and when you need us.

Advising manufacturers & trade associations

We understand that different industries have different requirements when it comes to compliance. We work with a number of trade associations to provide bespoke solutions.

For example, we designed, and now service, a bespoke batteries collection solution for the Portable Electronic Tools Manufacturing Association (PETMA) ensuring that the waste portable batteries that come out of drills, electronic screwdrivers and other similar devices are bulked together (regardless of brand).
