The Ecosurety team recently spent two days at Green Heart Farm planting a total of 2023 trees to celebrate 20 years since Ecosurety was founded.
On 14 and 15 December 2023, 45 Ecosurety employees headed to Green Heart Farm in Bristol to plant 2023 locally grown native species trees. The days were both a dedication to environmental conservation and marked a meaningful celebration of 20 years of Ecosurety’s commitment to using business as a force for good and accelerating change towards an environmentally sustainable world.
Ecosurety and Green Heart Farm are both part of the Stratofi Ltd group, directed by Ecosurety's founder Steve Clark. Trees were supplied by More Trees BANES and Forest of Avon Trust, and both organisations also assisted with the planting of trees.
Will Ghali, CEO of Ecosurety commented, “It is such a privilege for me to be able to spend time with my wonderful Ecosurety colleagues, volunteering our time to plant native species trees locally to make a small positive impact on the environment in the same week that COP28 ends. As a B-Corporation, we aim to balance purpose with profit and work hard to make a positive impact in our local community and more broadly in the world.”
Richard Higgs from More Trees Banes commented, "More Trees Banes are really pleased to be working with Ecosurety on this project as the ambitions for this area to be a place where people can experience nature and increasing biodiversity is at the heart of what we do."
"We supplied over 800 native trees for this new woodland all of which have been grown from seed collected around the local area by volunteers and grown on in 15 local community nurseries, so every tree tells a story. Locally sourced seed and genetic diversity helps new woods adapt to climate change and More Trees growing process provides lots of opportunities for local people to be part of creating a diverse treescape."
