Ecosurety support Carbon Literacy for community leaders

We are pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Carbon Literacy for Community Leaders toolkit.
Having experienced first-hand how Carbon Literacy can transform the way organisations think, act, and lead on climate, the community leaders toolkit will make climate education more accessible to those who can create change at a local level.
Championing climate action in communities
Developed by The Carbon Literacy Project, the toolkit is designed for community groups, charities and grassroots organisations. It gives trainers the materials they need to deliver Carbon Literacy training in a practical, flexible way, helping community leaders build knowledge and confidence on climate across the networks they already influence.
For us, sponsoring the toolkit was a natural step. As a business focused on helping brands make smarter, more sustainable packaging decisions, we have seen the value of Carbon Literacy first-hand. It has played an important role in shaping how our team thinks about climate responsibility and how that responsibility shows up in everyday decisions.
If Carbon Literacy can transform organisations, it has potential to do the same at a community level. Community leaders often act as trusted voices, whether they are trustees, councillors, organisers or volunteers. When they have the tools to understand climate issues and respond in a practical way, the impact can extend well beyond one individual or organisation.
Our sponsorship will help fund the ongoing maintenance and advocacy of the toolkit by The Carbon Literacy Project, ensuring it remains free for trainers to access over the next 12 months.
“At Ecosurety, we’ve seen how Carbon Literacy can transform how people think and act. Community leaders are powerful multipliers and supporting Carbon Literacy at this level transforms knowledge into shared, local action, embedding climate awareness where it can have the some of the biggest impact. We can all contribute to positive climate action and there should not be a barrier to do so.”
