B Corp governance score ranks Ecosurety in the top 5% worldwide in its group size.
Ecosurety became the first B Corp certified compliance scheme in 2020 and is now part of a community of 4,000 organisations across the globe who are committed to pursue purpose as well as profit. B Corps are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
Businesses seeking the certification are externally assessed by B Lab to ensure they meet rigorous social and environmental standards which represent their commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit. The areas assessed by B Lab cover the five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
Recognising strength of mission and engagement
The ‘Best for the World’ are B Corps whose scores in one or more of the five impact areas reach the top 5% of all 4,000 certified B Corps worldwide.
Ecosurety has been recognised specifically for efforts in the area of Governance, achieving a high score of 23.3 out of 25. This high score recognises the strength of our mission and engagement, including real commitments to make a positive environmental impact.
Ethics and transparency also rated very highly, due to a commitment to publicly share our environmental goals and progress via annual impact reports and thanks to internal governance practices in place to promote ethical decision making.
