Ecosurety releases fifth annual impact report

A new report has been released providing a snapshot of Ecosurety’s positive impact on recycling; WEEE, batteries and packaging compliance, throughout 2021.

Launched this week, Ecosurety’s fifth annual impact report highlights the projects and achievements that Ecosurety has invested in and supported on behalf of its members.

The report kicks off with a demonstration of the scheme’s commitment to its purpose to ‘accelerate change towards an environmentally sustainable world’ by detailing how the scheme delivered on its promises in its 2020 impact report.

Ecosurety’s pledge in 2020 to drive positive influence, provide sustainable support, and measurable impact, delivered a succession of measurable outcomes in the areas of policy, recycling awareness, environmental impact, and compliance; all of which are detailed in the report.

Planet, community, people

From insights about member support towards sustainability, to reports about employee inspiration and securing a future for flexible plastics recycling; the 2021 impact report provides an engaging account of Ecosurety’s impact in three key areas of ‘Planet, community and people’.

The report also acknowledges and celebrates the completion and achievements of projects that were supported by the Ecosurety Exploration Fund.

A time to reflect

Will Ghali, CEO of Ecosurety commented "Ecosurety’s fifth impact report, aims to demonstrate how we value accountability and transparency, while sharing how we have used business as a force for good. I appreciate this once-a-year opportunity to reflect on our journey through 2021, and to share this with our members and stakeholders.

"Our approach is to review our impact holistically, by reporting on how our work has impacted the planet, people, and our community.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for helping us fulfil our purpose to accelerate change towards an environmentally sustainable world."
