Robbie Staniforth promoted to Head of policy

Staniforth will retain his former responsibilities, including Government and stakeholder liaison with a view to providing a better collective understanding of extended producer responsibility.

He also remains a key contact for DEFRA as it prepares to consult on EPR regulations set to take place over the next five years. Reporting to CEO James Piper, Staniforth will also join Ecosurety’s Operational Board, providing the company with in depth policy and market insight.

A raft of new regulations

Commenting on his new appointment, Robbie Staniforth said “Following the release of the Government’s Resource and Waste Strategy at the end of last year, the industry is confronted with a series of changes likely to affect everyone - from producer to Local Authority to reprocessor.

This is a significant moment for the industry and Ecosurety and I look forward to continuing to work across the value-chain and with Government agencies as they seek to implement a raft of new regulations during this phase of exciting change in the sector.”
